Hellooooo :) can you give me any tips on what foods are high in energy? Because i work nights i feel the need to drink bull :( (not good) i would like to include high energy foods too keep me going without compromising my health. Thank youu love, love, love :)
Hello! Thank you for your question and my apologies for such a late response! I am currently travelling so I don’t have frequent Internet access, so again my bad!
Firstly, you want to consider calories which are ultimately, just how much energy your food gives you - calories are not bad. Only certain foods, high fatty, processed foods are. For energy, carbs will be great. And if they are low in fat also, then this is what you want! Maybe check out a high carb, low fat vegan diet if you get chance. This diet gives super humongous amounts of energy but with ZERO fats. Only good stuff and energy - which is what we want! Consider blending loads of bananas into a yummy smoothie (5 bananas or more - don’t be afraid to eat a lot of bananas, they’re not bad :) ) and add water also. This will offer a lot of energy. Try adding dates too if you’re feeling adventurous as they are awesome as well!
Some other foods that are high carb, low fat and vegan would be plain rice (maybe have with veg and a low sodium sauce), or even a big bowl of weetabix if they’re your thing, with a vegan milk, like almond, or hemp. Hemp is great! Look it up if you haven’t already!
Then remember to eat lots of fruit as fruits contain lots of natural sugars which your body LOVES! Fruits are the true wealth and ultimate nourishment on this earth. Health is wealth so respect your body and fuel it with the goodies! Eat plenty of greens (maybe add a handful of spinach to your banana smoothie?) as this will help to alkalise your body and thus you will feel AMAZING! Believe me! :-)
Remember to drink lots of water as well. I recommend 2 - 3 litres daily. Also maybe check out wheatgrass powder or spirulina to add to water or juices/smoothies. I love them. They literally get me bouncing through my day when I have them.
And by all means avoid nary energy drinks! They are not the answer… Plant-based magic always is!
Let me know if you have any other questions and I promise to respond promptly. Also let me know how you get on with all of this. I’d love to hear how it goes :)
With heaps of Love & Light,
